Online self-service
Our interactive, secure web site, LifeBenefits.com, is designed to provide employees with a convenient way to enroll in and manage their insurance benefits. The site is designed to be easy to use and we continually test and upgrade it to keep it that way.
Employees can:
- Enroll online and complete Evidence of Insurability (EOI) in real time with immediate response
- View information about their group life insurance, including coverage amounts, premiums and beneficiary designations
- Make changes to their group life insurance and account information – online with e-signature
- View contribution amounts and loan balances in cash value plans
- Review the details of their employer’s group life insurance plans, including coverage options available
- Use a variety of online resources to help with life insurance decisions and investment strategies
- View and print the current versions of many forms and documents
Personalized print materials
Research demonstrates that personalized materials increase response. Using print-on-demand technology we are able to customize enrollment materials by employee group and personalize them for each individual participant.
Personalized customer service
Our service center gives employees the choice of contact methods through computer-telephone integration. Whether employees contact us by phone, fax, e-mail or online chat, they will receive a timely, personal response.
- Our contact center is made available during hours established by the employer.
- When employees have access to a custom phone number for their plan, screen-popping displays provide our customer service representatives (CSRs) with information specific to their coverage so they can discuss specific plan details with employees.
- If employees are on our web site, the CSR can share the view they see to help them navigate the site.
- All contacts are tracked and recorded and CSRs are cross-trained to be familiar with needs of specific employee groups. This also removes the common frustration of an employee having to repeat information to different CSRs if the employee needs to call back.
Educational videos
Available on the internet via streaming video, our product presentation videos demonstrate through the words and stories of real employees the importance – and ease – of taking care of life insurance needs through a group life insurance program. Product videos can be viewed from our web site or hosted on the employer’s intranet or self-service site.
Onsite meetings
At onsite benefits fairs or training sessions for HR staff, our enrollment specialists explain the importance of adequate life insurance protection and answer questions about coverage.
